PRESS: Uralvagonzavod to produce 15,000 rail cars in 2021
MOSCOW, Apr 5 (PRIME) -- Russian railway equipment and tank maker Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) plans to produce 15,000 rail cars in 2021, Kommersant business daily reported Monday citing an interview with Deputy CEO for civil products Boris Myagkov.
“I have been in charge of loading of Uralvagonzavod’s production facilities since September 2020. More than 10,000 rail cars have been produced and some contracts signed since then. The current loading can be assessed as high, we plan to produce 15,000 rail cars this year,” he said.
Sales of civil products amounted to around 40 billion rubles in 2020, in line with the plan, Myagkov also said, adding that the figure is hoped to be no lower in 2021.
Uralvagonzavod is owned by state industrial corporation Rostec.
